The idea for this online shopping site actually came to me several years ago while I was contemplating my parent's situation. I am blessed with wonderful Christian parents - Margaret and Ed Reese.. They have served God together for over 50 years all around the world. My mother, as a chalk artist, singer, and pastor's wife; my dad as a missionary, pastor, evangelist, college professor, etc. As senior citizens they are still serving God - they truly are amazing!

However, what saddened my heart was that after all of these years of dedicated labor they both needed to work because they did not have any type of retirement program. None of the Christian organizations they worked for had the foresight or willingness to include a retirement program (and the meager salaries made personal saving, next to impossible)... What really made me feel bad was when they got a midnight paper route to suppliment the tso jobs they were working. Here was my dad in his mid 70's and my mom was about age 70 and they were taking turns getting up at midnight to throw papers along a (car) paper route in the dangerous winding hills of Tennessee in the middle of the night.

I thought to myself, "something is wrong with this picture"...

THEN IT HIT ME, I WAS FOLLOWING IN THEIR FOOTSTEPS!...

HERE I AM NEARING 50 WITHOUT A RETIREMENT PROGRAM IN PLACE...

I have spent my life in the service of the poor which has been very rewarding in many ways, but not financially. This is one area I don't want to follow my parent's example.

I believe God wants us to use wisdom so I prayed about this situation. One idea that came to mind was to create an online store.

(By the way I am gratefull for my parent's current empolyeers - Crown Bible College. My dad will be 80 in a few months and they are taking marvelous care of my parents -if fact, they recently cut my dad's hours drastically and at the same time gave him a pay raise - praise the Lord! He does answer prayer and honor those who have "sought first the Kingdom of God and His rightesousness - Mt. 6:33!)
